I was in Cardiff for ITV National News & ITV Wales for a weather live broadcast in Bute Park covering the Christmas Lights Trail. This time the live was broadcast through a satellite truck. But the engineer had problems finding the satellite, so we switched to the onboard LiveU that was connected to the truck and kept inside the vehicle instead of being connected to the camera. Instead there was a digilink on the camera transmitting to the LiveU in the truck. After broadcasting for around an hour, without a problem, the picture froze with about 20 seconds of the ITV National News live to go which was very frustrating! All very strange and with no obvious reason why it happened…
I used my Sony FX6 camera for this broadcast.
